PsychotheraPY AND cOACHING

 DIPL.-PSYCH. KATJA TULODZIECKI

LGBTIQ+

Since my studies I have worked with many queer people from the LGBTIQ+ community. Thus, many topics that arise in this world are familiar to me, be it a lesbian or  gay identity, a non-binary or a trans identity or a polyamorous relationships. In Berlin, there are spaces for many of these needs and it is possible to find a way with like-minded people, beyond the majority society.

Since I have been offering psychotherapies in English for many years, I have been able to meet many people who did not grow up in Germany and whose countries and cultures do not offer or punish the possibility of a queer identity. The influence of values, family images, hierarchies, status needs, general communication and etiquette rules and kindness rituals on our experience and thinking should not be underestimated. Hurtful experiences that have existed for years can lead to insecurities, fears, anger and depression.

In addition, everyday life in Berlin holds the potential for new injuries and experiences of foreignness every day. I continue to see myself as a learner in this field.

Both in everyday life and at work, it can be a great challenge to live the new possibilities. I am happy to offer my support in the form of coaching or psychotherapy.
